This is one of seven paintings in a series, the September Series. These paintings are the result of me reflecting on my Grandfather’s Ohio farm. I was thinking of the farming process – the land and the seasons. Late September suggests gray skies ahead.
So late in Summer…
Sun bounces off sheds in harsh fashion.
Fall and Winter are soon to come,
When gray skies will overshadow the blue.
Tired earth will rest again, but
Ugly weeds will not give up the ghost.
